Here is a video by Dan Wisbly on YouTube showing just how crazy the riot code is in GTA III. Sometimes I would input other codes to give me a chance to last longer such as adding armor. You talk about hours and hours of fun with these codes on. Sometimes it resulted in complete failure as some of the pedestrians with rocket launchers would try to aim it at the person firing the weapon, but would instead aim the rocket launcher at the ground and fire, blowing themselves and anyone else nearby, to pieces.Īs you can see, a lot of this was just so funny to see. Sometimes this would be funny as well because lets just say that if you caused a pedestrian to point a gun at you and fire, all the other people around would then get mad at the person firing the gun at you and would use their weapons to take that person out. They would walk around normally, but just with weapons in hand. There was also another code in the game where it would just give the non playable characters weapons, but they would not riot with them. Every once in awhile I might catch myself playing GTA 3 again just to play with the riot code on. I would certainly laugh at the craziness that was constantly happening. Sometimes the pedestrians couldn’t seem to throw the grenades properly and would end up dropping them beside themselves causing them to be killed by the resulting explosions. I remember many a time trying to drive away from chaos only to be blown to smithereens from grenades being thrown into the street meant for other people. You could drive a vehicle on the street and see constant mayhem. It would always seem like there were constant explosions going on. Some of the weapons ranged from shotguns, to grenades and rocket launchers, and even molotov cocktails. People would fire all kinds of weapons at each other and at you as well. It was like a complete war zone! My friends and I would take turns to see who could survive the longest with the riot code on. What would happen when you would enter the riot code is that it would give the people in the city, known as non playable characters, weapons and they would go completely insane with them. My favorite though by far was the riot code. Some of the codes ranged from amour to heavy weaponry. It was later shown online that there were cheat codes for this game that you would enter by pressing a certain button sequence on the game controller.
CODES FOR GRAND THEFT AUTO IV PS2
It was the biggest reason I had bought a PS2 at the time as I kept up with the previews and excitement of what promised to be one of the greatest games to be released at the time. Grand Theft Auto 3 Cheat Codes Pic of GTA III from Todays games will not allow you to earn trophies if you use cheats to beat the game and a lot of people will frown upon you for using cheats to beat the game. There are codes that give you weapons, more money, can spawn cars, invincibility, and more that can help you progress through the game and its missions much easier. Now there is usually a negative connotation with using cheat codes.
CODES FOR GRAND THEFT AUTO IV SERIES
Now obviously the Grand Theft Auto series were never the first to have cheat codes and certainly won’t be the last, but the type of codes that were put in there, really added to the gameplay. The makers of the game also added cheat codes to the game of Grand Theft Auto 3. When Grand Theft Auto moved to more powerful hardware, namely the PS2 to start, it set a new precedent for open world games and introducing living, breathing worlds.
CODES FOR GRAND THEFT AUTO IV PC
I certainly remember playing the first iterations of the game on PC and the first PlayStation back when it was only capable of running in a top down view. The Grand Theft Auto series has been one of my most favorite open world game series of all time.
